Land matters is a group exhibition that emerged from a sculpture research project at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia in charge of Rosario López. There we collaborated with Luisa Giraldo in the development of a sculptural installation in clay and plaster that investigates the erosion produced by water on rock.

From a photograph of Rosario of Cape Raoul in Tasmania, Australia, we began to imagine and dimension this place from the sensation: the superhuman forces that raised a mountain of rock and formed a border between the sea and the land; the forces of water and wind that erode in a constant movement of collision and sculpt the rocks. With this logic we made a series of sculptural gestures, which convert into matter again the erosion behaviors of Cape Raoul, recognizing our body as a territory that like water, applies forces and is permeated by matter.

La tierra importa

Instalación  l 9 piezas en yeso y arcilla
En colaboración con Luisa Fernanda Giraldo
2017
